Rob Reiner, an iconic figure in Hollywood film history, and Michele Reiner, his wife of over 40 years, died on December 14, 2025, in what is thought to have been a murder-suicide in their home in Brentwood.
The Los Angeles Fire Department received a call for medical assistance around 3:30 p.m. on December 14 and discovered two
unresponsive individuals at the scene. The victims, aged 68 and 78, have been identified as Rob and Michele,
Both victims were discovered to have several stab wounds on their bodies.
The investigation into the deaths is being led by the Robbery-Homicide Division of the Los Angeles Police Department, and the department is working with local law enforcement agencies to identify any potential leads on this case.
To this point, there has been no information released to the public regarding any official suspects; however, sources within the community suggest that detectives are investigating one of Rob's family members as a potential suspect in this case.
